Project_BR - Home Renovation - Richmond

This project involved a comprehensive renovation of an existing home, covering the kitchen, staircase, primary bedroom, and multiple bathrooms.

Due to the age of the property, the original interior featured outdated finishes, inefficient layouts, and an inconsistent design throughout the home. The existing spaces no longer met the practical needs of either everyday living or rental use.

From the beginning, the renovation focused on three priorities: functionality, timeless design, and long-term comfort. By rethinking spatial proportions, circulation, and material selections, we were able to maximize the overall value of the home while working within the existing structure.

💡 Renovation Highlights

🛁 Bathrooms
A simple grey-and-white palette creates a clean and timeless foundation.
Streamlined vanities and coordinated fixtures were introduced alongside improved storage and lighting, making each bathroom more comfortable, functional, and visually refined.

🍳 Kitchen
The cabinetry layout and kitchen workflow were redesigned to improve everyday functionality.
A lighter upper and darker lower cabinet combination adds visual depth while creating a practical, durable, and easy-to-maintain kitchen for daily use.

🪜 Staircase
The stair treads and finishing details were updated to create a cleaner transition between floors.
The refreshed staircase also helps establish a more consistent design language throughout the home's shared living areas.

🛏️ Primary Bedroom & Ensuite
Warm wood flooring and a minimalist ensuite design create a calm and comfortable private retreat.
The combination of natural tones, practical finishes, and a simplified layout maintains visual consistency with the rest of the home while supporting everyday comfort.

A Renovation Designed to Last

Rather than relying on excessive decorative elements, this renovation focuses on the thoughtful integration of proportion, materials, functionality, and details.

The result is a home that feels comfortable to live in, timeless in appearance, and designed to stand the test of time.
