Full-Home Flooring Renovation | Redefining an Open, Airy Interior with Macaroon Oak

01 | Visual Expansion — Transforming the Space with Macaroon Oak

While the original living room already featured impressive double-height ceilings, the dark flooring visually weighed down the interior and made the space feel more enclosed.

For this renovation, we selected warm-toned Macaroon oak flooring, paired with crisp white walls and natural wood accents to create a softer, more layered material palette.

The lighter wood tones naturally reflect and carry light throughout the home, allowing even areas with limited natural light to feel brighter, more open, and visually connected.

02 | Functional Upgrade — Bringing Order to Everyday Living

Good design goes beyond aesthetics—it should also make everyday life easier.

As part of the renovation, we upgraded the laundry room vanity and storage system with a focus on low-maintenance materials and integrated organization.

Fully Enclosed Storage
Plumbing, household supplies, and everyday essentials are neatly concealed to minimize visual clutter.

Minimalist Cabinetry
Clean cabinet fronts and simple lines create a more streamlined and organized appearance.

Easy-to-Maintain Materials
Durable, stain-resistant surfaces were selected for frequently used areas, making routine cleaning and long-term maintenance easier.

Together, these details create a more intuitive and efficient space designed around the demands of everyday urban living.

03 | An Airier Interior — Connecting Natural Light & Warm Materials

The home's existing floor-to-ceiling windows were preserved as one of its strongest architectural features.

By introducing a consistent material palette throughout the interior, natural light can travel more freely across the space. As daylight moves across the warm oak flooring, subtle variations in tone and texture become more visible, creating a softer connection between the interior and the surrounding environment.

The result is a home that feels lighter, calmer, and more breathable.

More Than a Flooring Renovation

This project was more than simply replacing the flooring—it was an opportunity to redefine the atmosphere of the entire home.

As natural light falls across the soft Macaroon oak, the interior takes on a sense of warmth and ease, transforming the home into a space that feels open, comfortable, and thoughtfully connected to everyday life.
