Project_CV - Home Renovation - Vancouver

Located in Vancouver, this multi-level older home originally featured dark wood tones and traditional finishes that made the interior feel dated and heavy. The homeowners wanted to transform it into a bright, clean, and modern living space with improved functionality for everyday life.

➊ Primary Bathroom Renovation

The cabinetry was completely upgraded with Scandinavian-inspired light wood finishes, paired with a white marble-look countertop and square undermount sink for a fresh, refined appearance.

Light grey marble-look tiles were used consistently across the walls and bathtub surround, while the fixtures were upgraded with a matte black shower system and minimalist black faucet.

Together, these elements create a clean, contemporary bathroom with the sophisticated feel of a modern hotel.

➋ Guest Bathroom Renovation

The vanity was refreshed with a white marble-look countertop, square undermount sink, and light wood cabinetry, establishing a clean and airy visual palette.

The traditional shower enclosure was removed and replaced with a frameless clear glass shower, complemented by large-format light grey tiles throughout the shower area.

The transparent glass allows light to flow freely through the room, visually expanding the space and creating a brighter, more open atmosphere.

➌ Bedroom & Interior Details

Existing wallpaper and carpet were completely removed. The walls were repainted in a soft off-white, while warm, light wood-look flooring was installed to create a brighter and more relaxing bedroom environment.

Even the smaller functional details were thoughtfully considered. The existing heaters were replaced with sleek white modern units that blend naturally into the off-white walls.

Their streamlined appearance minimizes visual clutter while maintaining everyday comfort and functionality.

➍ Staircase & Hallway

Carpet throughout the staircase and hallway was removed and replaced with light wood flooring, creating a continuous visual flow between levels.

The traditional black handrail was also transformed into a white curved handrail, allowing its clean lines to blend seamlessly with the surrounding white walls.

By reducing unnecessary visual contrast, the staircase now feels lighter, more refined, and consistent with the home's overall modern aesthetic.

A Brighter, More Cohesive Home

This renovation went beyond updating individual rooms. By creating a consistent palette, improving visual flow, and thoughtfully integrating functional elements throughout the home, we transformed a dated Vancouver residence into a space that feels light, clean, spacious, and distinctly modern.

From the bathrooms and bedrooms to the staircase and transitional areas, every element works together to give this home a renewed sense of openness, comfort, and effortless sophistication.
