Surrey Home Renovation | Modern Kitchen, Bathroom Vanities & Entryway Upgrade
Project Overview
Located in Surrey, BC, this renovation focused on improving the most frequently used areas of the home while maintaining the existing layout.
The project included a complete update of the kitchen, vanity areas in two bathrooms, and the backyard entryway. Through modern design, thoughtful storage planning, and durable material selections, we created a more comfortable and functional home suited to contemporary everyday living.
The overall design is built around light neutral tones, natural wood textures, and clean lines, increasing the sense of brightness while bringing warmth and visual consistency throughout the home.
Kitchen Renovation
The original kitchen featured traditional oak cabinetry and an outdated grid-style ceiling, giving the space a visually heavy appearance. Storage was also fragmented and no longer met the homeowners’ everyday needs.
The renovated kitchen introduces white upper cabinets paired with wood-grain lower cabinetry, complemented by quartz countertops and a large kitchen island. This combination creates a brighter, more open, and contemporary environment.
The original grid ceiling was removed and replaced with a clean, flat ceiling featuring recessed lighting, pendant lights, and integrated display-shelf lighting, significantly improving both the sense of space and overall ambience.
Beyond the visual transformation, the kitchen storage system was also reorganized. Additional drawers, full-height cabinetry, and open display shelving provide more efficient storage and create a smoother workflow for cooking and everyday use.
Kitchen Upgrade Highlights
- Custom two-tone cabinetry
- Quartz countertops and large kitchen island
- Flat ceiling with recessed lighting
- Drawer-based storage solutions
- Open display shelving with integrated lighting
- Modern backsplash
Bathroom Vanity Upgrades
The vanity areas in both bathrooms were renovated to improve storage, functionality, and overall appearance.
New wood-grain vanities, quartz countertops, and integrated undermount sinks were paired with matte black fixtures and updated lighting for a clean, contemporary look.
Each bathroom was customized according to its available space and storage needs, incorporating features such as drawer storage, open shelving, and LED round mirrors to make everyday routines more convenient.
Bathroom Upgrade Highlights

- Integrated undermount sinks
- Drawer-based storage

Backyard Entryway Flooring Upgrade
The original backyard entrance continued the interior wood flooring into a high-traffic area that was frequently exposed to rain, moisture, dirt, and outdoor debris, making it more susceptible to wear.
We replaced this section with large-format stone-look floor tiles, creating a dedicated transition zone between the backyard and the interior.
The new surface provides improved durability, moisture resistance, and easier maintenance while also creating a clear and visually cohesive separation between indoor and outdoor areas.
Entryway Upgrade Highlights

- Dedicated entry transition zone
- Improved durability and moisture resistance
- Easier everyday cleaning and maintenance
- Clearer separation between indoor and outdoor spaces
Design Concept
This Surrey renovation demonstrates how strategic upgrades can make a significant difference without changing the existing floor plan.
By combining warm wood tones, crisp white finishes, stone-inspired surfaces, thoughtful storage, and modern lighting, we were able to dramatically improve the home’s brightness, functionality, and overall visual consistency.
The result gives this older home a fresh new character while creating practical, comfortable spaces that better support the needs of modern family living.
